Welcome to Skills Formation Strategies
The Skills Formation Strategy program helps Queensland industries and communities to work together to plan and develop their workforce.A key objective of Skills Queensland is to support workforce planning and development.
The program provides seed funding to set up formal industry and community networksto identify common workforce needs and challenges. Short and long term strategies to address the identified issues are then developed and implemented.
Since 2003 there have been over 50 strategies supported throughout Queensland. Skills Queensland is currently supporting10 industry and community projects.

Memorandum Of Understanding To Create New Career Pathways For FNQ Labour Pool
A Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was signed last Friday, 26th October in a new move to address the competition for skilled labour and open up new opportunities for job seekers and workers in the Far North Queensland region. While many businesses in this region are experiencing the loss of skilled workers to the resources sector, three organisations have decided to use this trend to their advantage.
